Bartending School Testimonials

We have thousands of testimonials from students who have attended our Pittsburgh school.  We are gratified.  They love the school and are happy to write about it.

We have also amassed numerous positive comments from our students over the years that warms our hearts. With all the positives that come with being a bartender serving your customers and receiving unsolicited positive feedback is just one reason bartending is such a unique and wonderful job.

Also over the years we have had the honor of having some of the best bartenders in the business teach at our school - we have collected a few of their thoughts for you.

Testimonials from Grads of the Pittsburgh Bartender School

RE: Job Placement

Thank you for the "hot Tip" on the employment opportunity at the Gateway Clipper. Immdidiately called for and was granted an interview for a bartender position. It is a great first time bartender job and tips are very good. The school is very thorough with with making sure the leads match up with the individual. Special thanks to the instructors for their professional instructuion. First night on the job, I was the only bartender that knew how to make a a "Singapore Sling"

Sincerely,
Michael Allen

I can´t tell you enough how much I enjoyed your class. I was hesitant at first until you opened my eyes to a new exciting experience. I knew that I was getting into a great career. The Pittsburgh Bartender School really made a difference in my Life. I am now looking forward to a career that I will love.

I also want to thank everyone for supporting me within the time I was there (only you guys know how many weeks). Your effort and support made me have confidence in myself to do my very best. I am very proud to be a graduate of your school.

I also want to thank my instructor Thom, for pushing me through it all and for his great enthusiasm. Jenn, for giving me so may speed tests in one night & for hooking me up with good money making jobs.

Thanks again for all your support and confidence. You truly made this experience priceless. One day I hope to see you all again and when I do I´ll make you a drink (It´s on me).

I would definitely recommend your school to students with a passion for bartending.

Sicnerely,

To Whom it May Concern:

I m a recent graduate and I would like to let you know how glad I am, I enrolled in the course. I enjoyed every moment of the class. The instructor (Thom) was the best. He made the class enjoyable, insightful and worth coming everyday. I´m just sorry I waited so long to enroll.

While I attended class I met a lot of different and exciting people. People that I would like to work with or better yet I now know whose bar I would like to visit (the one with the heavy pour).

So thank you Thom and the Pittsburgh Bartender School for a wonderful and soon to be rewarding experience.

Thank you,
Julie A. Walker

To the Staff at Pittsburgh Bartender School:

Participating in your accredited program was the single best thing we could have possibly done to get our careers as bartenders off and running. From the beginning when we came in just for information, the staff performed with such a sense of professionalism and installed in us a strong confidence that we would experience success through the education we were about to receive.

As college students involved in several extracurricular activities, our schedules were very irregular and demanding. The staff was most accommodating and willing to work out a plan with us so as to graduate. During the entire time spent in the classroom the instructors displayed the information in a clear and understandable fashion, being very well versed in their craft.

The education we received was unparalleled to anything anywhere else. Considering everything we learned our investment was more than worth it. On top of this, on our very last day of class no more than five minutes after we completed our final performance test we were informed that we had positions as bartenders at a well named establishment in downtown Pittsburgh if few dared to take them. Of course, we were more than glad to take the opportunity.

Again, thank you for everything you have done for us – the education, professionalism and memories we will walk away with.

With gratitude,
Brandon Thompson

Comments from former Instructors

Having operated bartending schools around the nation and refined our programs to meet the 3 most important elements that satisfy students here are comments from two former instructors. While we have used instructors who both learned their bartending on the job or previously went to a bartending school, these are comments from instructors who had learned on the job. We´ve paraphrased what they told us.

INSTRUCTOR 1:

About ten prior years bartending, training bartenders, and managing: While teaching at one of our schools his brother took our course. About 1 year later this instructor told us the following:

After a year my brother is a far better bartender with both the class and one year´s experience than I was with a year or two. He knows more, he has more background, he can handle more situations, and work more efficiently than I could. The bartending class makes you into a better bartender more quickly than learning on the job.

INSTRUCTOR 2.

He had about eight years bartending experience. By the time he started teaching he had a regular weekday night bartending job where he regularly pulled $400-700/night. He knew how to build a crowd and make money for the bar and himself.

"I wish I had taken this course. I would have learned so much more and been far better faster than it took me to be a good bartender. I´m learning things now I didn´t know even when I started teaching."

The Best Summary Comments from students

We have received thousands of comments, testimonials, positive statements, and some critiques over many years in a number of schools. But this comment summarizes what we hope to hear from students. It actually has surprised us over the years.

"I´m going to miss bartender school!!!"

Imagine all the English, math, history, and science classes that you have ever taken. Imagine the classes studying nursing, or electronics, being in labs, group studying, or anything connected with school. How often would you say or you hear someone else say that they are going to "miss school"

If you want to find out more about our bartender training and courses, set up an appointment and visit. Check out our school, see what we do and see if bartending is for you.
